About Fighting Heardle
What is Fighting Heardle?
Fighting Heardle is a free music quiz in the browser, inspired by Heardle: you hear 1 s of a fighting game track and guess the game, with longer clips if you need them. Every day brings a new daily challenge, the same for everyone, plus a 30-level quest and unlimited free play.
How to play Fighting Heardle
- Press play to hear 1 s of a track.
- Type the game. Not sure? Unlock a longer clip (1 s, 3 s, 6 s and 12 s).
- Points: 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 depending on how much you listened, +2 more if you type the track title straight away.
- You start with 3 hearts and lose one per mistake.
Free play has several modes: Classic, Sudden death (one heart), Time attack (90 seconds), Reverse (find the right clip among three) and Single game. Correct answers in a row build a combo, and the best scores go on the leaderboard.
The music of fighting games

Super Smash Bros., from the Nintendo 64 to Ultimate, Marvel vs. Capcom, Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue and Dragon Ball FighterZ join in, and the series hint tells which saga the track is from.
